With so few canopy trees at the South Padre Island Golf Club this poor owl had to nest in a palm tree. The owl built a nest and laid eggs. It was very interesting to watch. A late cool front blew through and the eggs and nest fell out. We were so dissappointed. Didn't come back the next year.

Behavior: Stood in tall palm trees next to parking lot for several days scoping out the territory. Finally built its nest in shorter palm tree further from the building. Wasn't happy with all the attention once it had eggs in its nest.
